Cleaning the house on a Snowy Sunday!

Since it is snowing like crazy - Joe and I are doing some house cleaning and doing laundry etc. As I was cleaning up one of the rooms I came across some poems that I wrote many years ago and thought I would share them with those who read this. Let me know what you think!

The darkness refuses to let go
the light will not shine
the hours tick slowly
and the sounds are ever so clear
I know that the words are there
like casual friends ask how you are
despite the ache of a heart
or the cold feeling in your heart
you tell them “Fine just fine”
They smile contently
knowing you are lying
waiting for you to fail
so they can feel better
I hope my friendship isn’t like that. I DO care! The poem is awesome as usual I like it. Reminds me of Hykoo
